At the end of February, our CTO, Tomás Herrera Azorín, traveled to Dakar (Senegal) together with Femepa to participate in a training experience aimed at 18 young people in the process of training in the field of electricity. This action is part of the “Tierra Firme” project , promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands to promote youth employability and sustainable development in West Africa.
During the stay, fundamental topics for the professional future of the participants were addressed, highlighting:

Domotics and installation of solar panels, taught by Israel Pascua Rodríguez, Femepa’s Electricity specialist.

Entrepreneurship and employability skills, with sessions aimed at promoting autonomy, innovation and employability.
As of March 4, the students have begun a three-month internship in Spanish companies, which will allow them to complement their technical training with direct experience in real professional environments.
